The White Bay 5 Cruise Passenger Terminal project involves the relocation of the existing cruise passenger facilities at Barangaroo to a new facility to be built at White Bay. The terminal will include the construction of new purpose built buildings containing an arrivals hall, baggage hall, storage and amenities area, Customs and AQIS facilities, x-ray equipment, offices and storage facilities. The terminal will have provision for a secondary berthing capability at White Bay 4.
TSA has been engaged by Sydney Ports to manage the procurement and delivery of the terminal. The initial works involve the refinement of a four-contract Delivery Strategy followed by design management and the preparation of tender documents.
TSA staff managed the tender assessment and contract negotiations on Sydney Ports’ behalf and will administer the works contracts. The works are due to be complete in the third quarter 2012.
